TV, Film: Top 5 Peachy Picks

Atlanta Film Industry | Southern Styles & Steeds

I’ve been covering Atlanta’s booming film and TV industry for a while now, and if you haven’t been paying attention, shame on you. Most recently, the city’s thriving small-to-silver screen projects has become a popular beat I report about for AJC.com. My little farm fingers are crossed for Spaghetti Westerns to start sprouting up in the city and beyond so Cowgirl Candace can do some wardrobe stylin’ for the people. Until then, here are my top five Southern films and shows that were shot in Atlanta and across the Peach State in years past and are still colt classics today:

  • “Fried Green Tomatoes”
  • “Driving Miss Daisy”
  • “The Dukes of Hazzard”
  • “In the Heat of the Night”
  • “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”
