Pier Point of View

The summer’s beach bumming photo shoot started under Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion. My ocean view: Simply breathtaking. Did you know Central of Georgia Railroad originally built the pier and pavilion, formerly named Tybrisa Pavilion, in 1891? A massive fire burned it down during 1967. Rebuilt in time for the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia, for the state’s tourists, the Southern structure is one of the most-visited locations on the island.
