Newspapers and magazines are cornerstones to my creative career. My first paid editorial job was as news editor of college newspaper, The Signal, at my alma mater: Georgia State University. I caught the newspaperwoman bug and advanced in print positions at regional and national magazines. I returned to my hometown, which became a turning point in my career: I became an award-winning journalist, earning first place in feature and news writing by the Georgia Press Association. Those accolades and experiences prepared me for my newest post as digital writer for national newspaper The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. See why my content- and illustration-laden jacket makes more sense on Cowgirl Candace now? Lol.
