True Southern story: My siblings and I were diehard Sega Genesis players on the family farm throughout the ’90s. My brother was so genius with it he could literally figure out and beat combat games in a few hours. Now, Cowgirl Candace wasn’t that good, but I had a thang for “Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse.”
The game chronicled classic Mickey moments — 1928’s “Steamboat Willie” up to the 1990’s “The Prince and the Pauper — in challenging adventures. I was beyond addicted to the game because the graphics were so dope for the times. So naturally when I spotted this Mickey and Minnie pin pack on sale for $4 at Toys “R” Us, I had to buy ’em. A forever fan of the game and cartoon character, these buttons give throwback spirit to the back pockets of my denim shorts of today.
