Dives and Diners Design

I always make sure I have things to look forward to in life. After photo shoots, it’s food. Lol.

On a hayfield high from a fierce photo shoot experience with photographer J Coles; creative consultant Tonya Wright; and professional makeup artist Zac Love (better known as the Southern Squad), I had to reward the awesomeness — and my gut — at barbecue juke joint Country’s on Broad in Uptown Columbus.

As you can see from this shot, I imagined driving to the ’50s-designed diner where the Southern-styled chopped pork is king. The Uptown Columbus location, which was once a 1930s Greyhound bus station, is one of three in the area and has been serving mouthwatering Deep South dishes since 1987.

Join me some time. The barbecue chicken is the best.
