Columbus Botanical Garden

Farm girl-lovin’ flora and fuana surrounded me at May’s equestrian shoot location: Columbus Botanical Garden. The 23-acre preserved lawn in North Columbus offers cottage, herb, vegetable and camellia gardens, along with a mile-long looping trail through hardwood and pine trees. For avid bird watchers, the botanical garden attracts blue jays, cardinals, woodpeckers, robins, goldfinches and red-tailed hawks to its grounds for viewing. The tranquil site also features historic gin, carriage and farm houses, which connected to my equine coverage throughout these derby days.
